Floor Coverings That Lift You Higher

Love A Duck joins specially-developed performance textiles and high-tech finishing applications to create innovative floor coverings.

About Us

Love A Duck is a Viennese startup specializing in innovative floor coverings that resolve the perceived contradiction between high design and low maintenance.

The perfect fit. Our rug-style flooring comes in fully customizable patterns and formats. Each piece is printed on demand to individual specifications.

Bless you. Allergens find no home in Love A Ducks. The surface is impervious to microscopic intruders and lets you sleep soundly.

Better together. At Love A Duck we firmly believe that user-centered design and life-centered design are an item. To help protect the environment, our flooring is custom-made and durable. Above all it can be recycled.

Defying gravity. Thanks to a special surface treatment, our flooring easily survives everyday spills and stains. Simply vacuum or wipe away whatever gravity grounds. No chemical treatments, no professional carpet cleaning necessary.

High quality. We use a 100 % cotton base on a felt backing to create flooring that appeals to all senses and works well in many different settings, whether it be the hallway, the dining area or the play corner.

Martina Grünewald

Founder and Developer

Dr. Martina Grünewald is the heart and soul of Love A Duck. She originally began to research alternative flooring solutions when she realized just how many people - from young families, to pet owners and allergy patients - were facing daily compromise in furnishing a happy and healthy home. Coming from a deep academic background in design history, theory and anthropology and extensive experience in design marketing, Martina understands the impact things have on people's everyday lives. She advocates easier, more pleasant and more graceful products that foster a positive atmosphere in which creativity, plurality and personal growth can thrive. Things as simple as floor coverings that even a three-year-old can wipe clean and that protect the environment because they become cherished and durable favorites and can be recycled once they really do fall out of use.

Patrick Bartos

Co-Founder and Business Developer

A Graduate of the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford Graduate School of Business, Dr. Patrick Bartos brings to Love A Duck the experience, expertise and network of a seasoned CEO who during his whole career has been working in and with the Creative Industries. After having run one of the most successful Creative Industries support companies in Central Europe for more than eight years, he decided to jump ship and board startup life himself. Passionate about life-centered design to change the world, Patrick is a networker and team builder and competent in six languages.

Lilly Panholzer

Creative Director

The Austro-Canadian designer and art director Lilly Panholzer has been instrumental in developing the distinctly elegant and flamboyant while perfectly balanced style that sets Love A Duck apart from the crowd. An enthusiastic globetrotter and enlightened yoga practitioner, Lilly brings a plethora of design experience and an intuitive sense of color, shape and proportion to anything she tunes into. Her creative oeuvre is nothing short of a grand affirmation. Enchanté!

Seine Shailobekova

Graphic Designer

Seine Shailobekova is a multidisciplinary designer. With broad experience in fashion, surface and graphic design, she helps sharpen Love A Duck’s visual presence from collection development to branding and communication. Seine pays attention to the smallest details of a design while aiming to make her work functional and easy to understand. She sees design as a puzzle and tries to find the best solution and innovative compositions.

We look forward to hearing from you!
